Manufacturing
SPIC's fertilizer complex at Tuticorin currently manufactures
nitrogenous fertilizer— urea—and phosphatic fertilizer—diammonium
phosphate. SPIC also manufactures intermediates like ammonia
and sulphuric acid, co-products like aluminium fluoride, and
by-products like gypsum from this base.
The energy-efficient and environment-friendly urea and
ammonia plants are equipped with advanced distributed digital
control systems for high operational efficiency.
